YouTube Video Creation Techniques
Do you know how to create videos for YouTube? Believe it or not, creating videos for it is one of the easiest things to do. The hard thing is getting a lot of views to your videos. So creating videos doesn't have to be a chore or a long painful process... it can be made quite easily if you know what you're doing.
For me, I used a nifty little software called "Camstudio". This can be downloaded for free over the internet. With Camstudio, you can record your activities on your computer, make the resulting file come out as a AVI file or a SWF flash file. The AVI file will be larger, but for YouTube, they don't accept SWF files as of yet - even though the size of these files are much smaller than the AVI file.
All you have to do is download it, and start playing with it a little bit until you get the hang of things. You could make very professional videos with this software, and it makes creating YouTube videos very simple and easy. If you don't want to use Camstudio, you should know that you have other options at your disposal also.
One thing that you can use is a camcorder. This is a high quality device that can help you to create top notch videos. You can record yourself sitting at a desk. You can record yourself standing in front of a chalkboard. You can record yourself interviewing someone. Or you can record yourself outside or in the house showing viewers how to do something technical.
Even though camcorders can be expensive, they are very useful for your everyday tasks. Some people choose to record their videos with cell phones or web cams, but I think this is just tacky and unprofessional. The quality of the video won't be good, and you will hear a lot of static in the audio of the recording.
Even though cell phones are greatly enhanced these days, I wouldn't recommend using them to record your videos. Either use a camcorder, or an incredibly high quality web cam. Another option that you have if you're camera shy is something called "Camstudio". This is a free tool that allows you to record on-screen actions on your computer.
Like I said it's free and you can simply Google it and download it from their website. This is a very popular tool, and it's something I think you can use to get lots of hits to your videos in a short period of time. For example, I'm camera shy, so I use Camstudio a lot. But there are times where I record myself and clean up the audio of it so that it sounds professional.
If you don't have the time, patience, or confidence to record yourself in front of a camera, simply record on-screen actions with yourself talking in the background, walking your viewer through each and every thing that you go over. This can be sometimes better than a camcorder, because if your training is online, it shows the viewer how to do each step that you're doing - making it easier for them to understand what you're talking about.
